About The Realm of Magic

The Realm of Magic trilogy follows the adventures of Taliesin, a member of the Raven Clan, a natural born witch with the ability to find magical weapons. The only problem is the Kingdom of Caladonia outlawed magic two hundred years earlier, it’s now in the middle of a civil war, and the enemies of the crown are searching for someone with Taliesin’s rare 'gift'.

When Taliesin’s clan visits a battlefield, she finds a magical sword, a magical map and a rebel prince’s flag; unfortunately, members of the Eagle Clan and the Wolf Clan observe her retrieving the items. Events are set in motion, and with her dearest friends at her side, Taliesin set out on a wild adventure in search of the most powerful sword in the land – Ringerike, the legendary 'Raven Sword'.

Pursued by the Wolf and Eagle Clans, two rebel princes at war with their father, and a jealous war god named ‘Ragnal,’ Taliesin has the magical ability to make or destroy kings. To win her allegiance, a man must first win her heart . . . and she is not a woman easily fooled by tricks or sweet words. She is a true warrior and believes in honor, truth, and just causes, but there are many who desire her to fail.

Join her incredible adventure in what "SCREAM MAGAZINE" calls 'an ode to 'Lord of the Rings.'

BOOK REVIEWS

Rarely, do I get pulled so completely into an author's world as I did for the Mistress of Magic. I enjoyed every minute of the read and found my self wishing for more details and wanting the characters to linger longer at time like with the dragon who I will not name because the name is fun.

WOW...what a ride

Eleanor Bogner, Amazon Review

I was never one for reading, do to many reasons understanding what I read was something I found very hard. But these books have made me want to read, even with the challenge of it. I find it hard to want to put the book down. This author has found a way to write books in away it keeps me wanting to read. I love power the story gives. And my own conference is growing while reading. I thank the author and can't wait for the next book.

I LOVE THIS BOOK

Bench-Racer, Amazon Review

I was offered the chance to receive an advance copy of this novel in exchange for an unbiased review, and I am so glad that I did! This is a complex, rich story that starts with the protagonist preparing to scavenge a battlefield. What she finds is a sword that speaks, if one is brave enough and talented enough to hear its tale...and that is just the beginning. Maps that speak, if you can decode them...allies that become lovers that betray...or do they? I do not write reviews that contain spoilers, so if you are hoping for a detailed plot summary you wont find it here. If you want to read a story where magic and valor and love entwine, escape to the Realm of Magic!

I received an advance copy of this book for purposes of this review. I found the author's writing style to be very clear, forthright and easy to follow, despite the wide cast of characters, "clans" and extensive world-building. My only critiques would be: there could have been more art in its delivery, and once in a while, the dialogue seemed a bit contrived / forced. Those very minor quibbles aside, 'Seeker of Magic' was fun-- a well-executed return to high fantasy, high magic and weapons and mythical creatures (compared to other fantasy books I've read of late, with a minimalist application of magic and fantasy elements, in general). I liked the setting right out of the gate-- main characters laboring in a "work environment" that I've not read about, nor even really considered before. I found the balance between high magic and its practical usage (particularly by one character) to be well-executed. In other words, I never said why doesn't so-and-so just cast "x" spell and solve everyone's problems(?). There are a few unexpected twists and turns, but for the most part, you'll barrel toward a satisfying conclusion... but as you'd expect, it's a conclusion that will leave you eagerly awaiting the next entry in the series. All in all, a worthy read.

Pure fantasy with Magic and fantastic people and creatures. You start in the world of cleaner uppers. A battle leaves everything on the battlefield. Who gets the 'spoils' of war?. I had never thought about the aftermath with the claiming of battle gear and bounty and even who gets the live bodies and the deceased. After a trip through this world, we are taken to the story that led to the battle, pieced together to bring the reader up to date. The adventure continues, and the biggest praise I can give this or any book, I can not wait to read the next book in the series.

"Write what you love to read, and never let anyone tell you that you're not good enough, or will never be successful. The whole reason I write is to be read. It took many years for me to hone my craft, but when I felt I had written something people would love as much as I did, I finally published.

There are many authors in print, and far more readers. Trust me - there is room in enough libraries around the world to accommodate good books, with an interesting plot, and strong characters people can identify with.

The old saying is true - 'If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.'

I say, believe in yourself, write what makes you happy, and follow your dreams."
