Dukedoms:

​

Adalgar -         Duke Volund Fortinbraus; has three sons, eldest son is Lord Valesk; western

                                                dukedom; Hills of Riddick; Havendor Castle; town of Galmeton; Stalker Castle

                                                protects town of Tunberg. The Minoc River is the western boundary between Adalgar

                                                and Garridan. Their ancestral sword is Desdemona, which mean ‘demon moan’, lost

                                                centuries ago. Their emblem is a black bridge over a blue river on a field of yellow.

Bavol -              Duke Elric Galatyn (ancestral magical sword is Flamberge); far eastern dukedom;

                                                Clairmore Castle; town of Antilla has grand bizarre, public baths, and the Crystal

                                                Mosque; home of Knights of the Blue Star. Their emblem is a white star over a

                                                gold mosque on a field of light black.

Erindor -           Duke Dhul Fakar (ancestral magical scimitar is Tizona); southern dukedom, includes

                                                the Isles of Valen; known for fire eaters and camel races; has navy of to fight pirates;

                                                Eagle Can resides here; towns of Dahkla, Khimesset, Nador, or Ourzazate, and capital

                                                Shaemone, lays far to the southeast, near the coast. Their emblem is a white scimitar

                                                hanging above a yellow sun on a field of red; and dukedom protected by the Red

                                                Cobras.

Fregia -           Duke Hrothgar Volgan (ancestral magical gold sword is Doomsayer);  northern

                                               dukedom; brother of Jasper Silverhand; Ragenvald Castle; town of  Gregge, outside the

                                               Tangers Forest; far northeastern town is Ruthenia; coat-of-arms a white bear on a field

                                               of light blue; home of Knights of the White Stag. Their emblem is a brown bear on a

                                               field light blue. His half-brother is Jasper Silverhand, and Hrothgar is later succeeded

                                               by Hercule Volgan, his cousin.

Garridan -        Duke Richelieu de Boron; late wife Denira, daughter Lenora, nephew Mycle; far

                                                 western coastal; dukedom; Salayen Desert; Djaran nomads; Cave of Chu=Alagu or the

                                                Cave of the Snake God; ruins of the Tower of Uruk; bordered by the River Minoc;

                                                Dunatar Castle built beside the Urall Ocean. The Garridan coat-of-arms is a blue sea

                                                serpent on a field of green. Richest of all dukedoms, with largest army and navy.

Maldavia -       Duke Regis Peergynt, cousin to the Draconus family through Princess Mary

                                                Draconus, daughter of King Magnus, who married a Peergynt; dukedom is,

                                                centrally located; Tannenberg Forest; Gorge of Galamus; Ruins of Pelekus; royal

                                                city of Padama and Tantalon Castle; town of Bernlak; Raven Clan resides here;

                                                home of the Knights of Chaos. Their emblem is a silver chalice held by an

                                                armored hand on a field of red.

Scrydon -          Duke Fergus Vortigern (owns a magical sword called Trembler); eastern dukedom;

                                                capital is at the Black Tower; town of Riordan; Wolf Clan resides here; known for

                                                its fine leather. Their emblem is a black tower with a splinter of yellow lightning at the

                                                top on a field of dark gray.

Thule -                   Duke Andre Rigelus; his father was Duke Andriel, who had many children out of

                                               wedlock including Sir Justin of the White Stags, and Sir Jordan, a Thule knight; lower

                                               southwest dukedom; (ancestral magic sword is Traeden); Acre Castle; farmland, beer

                                               gardens and distilleries; Dreskull Castle is on the southwestern tip. Their emblem is a

                                              white horse running through a wheat field, on a green tunic.
